This site is a tribute to Dave Appleton, who was born in Scarborough on March 15, 1943. He arrived in Leicester at the age of 16 years old as an LCFC apprentice footballer. Known to many for his contribution  to the Leicestershire football scene over many years as player and then manager. In more recent years he was an avid early morning golf enthusiast. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Donations to Alzheimers Society are appreciated as he took interest in the research around football and dementia due so many ex players including within his own family that this affected.
